Welcome to the Land of the Buddha, Join our 8 days Buddhist pilgrimage tour in which we take you to some of the most important Buddhist sites in the world, including the birthplace of Buddha – Lumbini.

Schedule Details

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and Stay on Kapan Monastery

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, the representative from Lucky Holidays will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to the Kapan Monastery. You stay overnight at Kapan Monastery.

DAY 2: Fully Day sightseeing of Kathmandu and overnight stay in Namobuddha

Today, you will have a full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. Mainly, you will visit the world famous Buddhist sites including: Kapan Monastery which is considered to be the center for Buddhist teachings and philosophy, Bauddhanath which is one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monastery, and Swayambhunath which is also known as The Monkey Temple. After Kathmandu sightseeing, we drive to Namobuddha which is some 45 kilometers away from Kathmandu. We stay overnight at Namobuddha.

DAY 3: Meditation in Namobuddha

Today, we will have meditation in Namobuddha. Buddhists call Namobuddha as TAGMOLOGIN. Nomobuddha is considered the famous Buddhist spot where Lord Buddha (on his seventh reincarnation) sacrificed his body to the hungry Tigress and her cubs. We stay overnight in the house of monastery.

Day 4: Drive from Namobuddha to Kathmandu

After exploring the Namobudhha and having a full day meditation, we today drive back to Kathmandu and check into the hotel. In the remaining time, you can explore some other Buddhist monasteries located inside the valley area.

DAY 5: Fly from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa and drive to Lumbini

After taking our morning breakfast, we catch our scheduled flight to Bhairahawa and then drive to Lumbini. On reaching Lumbini, if time allows, we explore around the Lumbini and stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 6: Lumbini Sightseeing

Today, we will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. We will mainly cover the Sacred Garden, Maya Devi Temple, Asoka Pillar, and the Monastery Zone where various monasteries are established by different countries for their recognition. We stay overnight at Lumbini.

DAY 7: Drive to Bhairahawa and flight to Kathmandu

After exploring Lumbini Monastery Area and Lumbini Village, we drive to Bhairahwa and catch our scheduled flight to Kathmandu. We stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

DAY 8: Final Departure

Today, you will depart to your own destination. So, we transfer you to the airport from where you catch the returning flight to your hometown.
