Illam, a hilly district situated in the far eastern Nepal. This district is fully covered by hills except some parts of inner Terai. The district covered by pleasant natural geo-structure, temperate climate, low green hills and fertile lands, has been made prosperous by the hard work of the farmers.
Schedule Details
DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to the hotel
Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by lucky holidays representative and transferred to hotel. After check in, you can either take a rest or hang around in the city depending on your interest and time constraint. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion, introducing with your Tour guide. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions related to the tour program. Overnight in hotel
DAY 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Today after breakfast, we start a guided sightseeing to historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites that include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world.
DAY 3: Fly to Bhadrapur or Drive
Today we take morning flight to Bhadrapur and check in the hotel. Visit the Satar village (Satar are backward tribe who hunt mouse and rats). Overnight at Bhadrapur
DAY 4: Drive to Pashupatinagar via Kanyam tea garden
After breakfast drive to Kanyam (approx 40km) for magnificent view of the tea garden, drive to Pashupatinagar to visit the cheese factory. This is the border town to Darjeeling district of India. En-route we have scenic visit Karfok, Panchakanya,back to fickkal . After lunch at Fickal ,visit the local market. Drive to Illam bazaar overnight at beautiful Illam Bazaar .
DAY 5: Half day sightseeing at Illam bazaar and drive to Maipokhari
After breakfast sightseeing at Illam bazaar of local market and beautiful tea garden and view tower from where we can see full view of Illam bazaar .After lunch drive to Mai pokhari lake . After sightseeing at maipokhari around the lake, forests, rare flora and fauna for 1 hour and walk to visit the local Sherpa’s market Deurali bazaar .After that drive back to Illam bazaar enroute visit Biblate bazaar . Overnight stay at hotel at Illam
DAY 6: Drive to Bhadrapur
After breakfast drive to Bhadrapur enroute lunch at fickalbazaar and drive to birtamode bazaar if you wish for personal shopping .After that you can have visit and shopping in the Bhadrapur city. O/N at hotel at Bhadrap
DAY 7: Fly back to Kathmandu or drive to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu from Bhadrapur Airport. Check in the hotel, be refreshed and leisure walk and have last minute shopping in the local area in late evening.
DAY 8: Final Departure
Today our airport representative will make a departure transfer to Tribhuvan international Airport to board on the flight for your onward destination.
