Ghorepani Poonhill Trek (8N/9D)

Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by lucky holidays representative and transferred to hotel. After check in, you can either take a rest or hang around in the city depending on your interest and time constraint. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion, introducing with your Tour guide. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions related to the tour program. Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, you will have scenic drive to Pokhara along the East-West Highway. You will be transferred to a hotel on arrival. Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty and is the second largest city of Nepal. This enchanting city has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. This valley is the mostly used starting point for the trekking of Annapurna circuit. Overnight at hotel.

We will cover 42km distance from Prithvi Chowk and cross beautiful Lumle village to Nayapul (1050m). Poonhill sunrise trek starts from Nayapul. Following Modi River, we will walk past forest of blooming rhododendron and cross small stream. We will cross Birethanti after about half an hour of trek and arrive at Tirkhedhunga.

Steep trek for about 2hrs will take us to Ulleri (2070m). We will cross the Magar village of Banthanti from where we can get spectacular views of Machhapuchhre Mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli Mountain (6441m) and Annapurna South Mountain (7219m). We will cross the small river and climb to Nangethanti. We will arrive at Ghorepani from where we can get soaring views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and other mountains.

Poonhill is popular for best sunrise view in Pokhara. We will rise very early and reach the base of Poonhill. About an hour of climb will take us to Poonhill viewpoint. We can get sunrise view over Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m), Annapurna I Mountain (8091m), Annapurna II Mountain (7937m), Annapurna III Mountain (7855m), Annapurna IV Mountain (7525m), Annapurna South Mountain (729m), Nilgiri Mountain (6940m), Tukuche Mountain (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other mountains. We will return to hotel in Ghorepani for breakfast and then take descending trail to Tadapani village from where we can get views of Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Fishtail and other mountains.

3hrs of easy walk through forest of oak, rhododendron and other alpine flowers will take us to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the large Gurung village. We can get striking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and other Mountains from viewpoint in Ghandruk. Homestay in Ghandruk is a pleasant experience. We will be welcomed by the locals with Khada and traditional dance will be performed in evening in our honor.

From Ghandruk, we will lower down through the scenic route with views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Gangapurna Mountains. We will cross the forest of blooming rhododendron and reach Birethanti from where we will take the downhill walk and follow Modi Khola till we reach Nayapul from where we will reach to Pokhara in an hour. Overninght at Pokhara .

You will be transported to Kathmandu in your private coach. Evening will be spent on your own. You can have your last minute shopping. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu .

Our representatives will be waiting at the hotel lobby in the morning after you have your breakfast. You will be transferred to the international airport in time for your onward flight journey NOTE: We will customize the itinerary as per the requirement of the customer.
